Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival to Istanbul and transfer to your hotel
Upon arrival in Istanbul, we will meet you at the airport with your name and transfer you to your hotel in the Old City area (Sultanahmet). You will check in to the Boutique hotel, which is close to all the historic sites. You will have free time for the rest of the day and spend the night in Istanbul.
Day 2
Istanbul Old City Walking Tour (B,L)
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel at 09:00 a.m for a full day "Best of Istanbul" walking tour. You will see: the Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofya) Museum, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. At the end of the tour, our guide will drop you back to your hotel. Free time and overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3
Istanbul-Cappadocia by plane and day trip of Southern Cappadocia-Green tour (L)
At 5:00 AM you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport for a 7:00 AM flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to our office in Goreme town. You will be picked up at 9:30 AM for a tour of Southern Cappadocia. You will explore the Underground City of Derinkuyu, stroll through the scenic Ilhara Valley and stop for lunch at a restaurant near the river. After lunch, you will continue to Selime Monastery and then Pigeon Valley for some breathtaking views and great photo ops! At the end of your tour you will be taken back to your hotel and you’ll have the rest of the night free.
Day 4
Day tour of Northern Cappadocia / Flight to Antalya (B,L)
If you choose to do the Hot Air Balloon Ride, you will be picked up from your hotel at 5:30 AM and taken to the balloon departure point. The balloon ride will finish around 7:30 AM and you will be taken back to your hotel where you can have breakfast before your next tour. You will be picked up at 9:30 AM for your tour of Northern Cappadocia. The first stop will be a vista point overlooking Goreme where you will see Uchisar Castle. From there you will go to the Goreme Open Air Museum and then stop for lunch is Avanos. Next, you will see a kick-wheel pottery demonstration and then get the chance to try yourself! On the way back to your hotel you will stop at photo points such as Cavusin, the animal shaped rock formations of Devrent, the mushroom shaped fairy chimneys in St. Monk’s Valley and St. Simeon’s monk cell. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for a one-hour flight to Antalya. Upon arrival in Antalya we will meet you at the airport with your name and transfer you to the hotel in Antalya city Center, which we call Kaleici. Overnight in Antalya.
Day 5
Day tour for Perge, Aspendos, Side and Waterfall (B,L)
08:30 Pickup from hotels and Arrival at Perge, one of the largest ancient cities in the Pamphylia region.
Perge was the capital of Pamphylia. The Roman Baths, the Agora, Colonaded Street, Nympharium and the stadium are all on the visit. The we depart for the Aspendos Ancient Theatre.
This incredibly well preserved ancient theatre was built in the 2nd centrury A.D., it has a capacity of 15,000 people and its still being used for festivals and music concerts.
We have a lunch break at a restaurant on a nearby river then depart for Side (pronounced Seeday). Side is one of the best classical ancient cities in Turkey, it was a port city that served the largest slave market in thsi region. During Roman times much construction took place in Side including a large theatre, Roman Baths and the Temple of Apollo.
Guests will have 1 hour free time here to enjoy the sea and the city. On the way back, we will stop at the Manavgat Waterfall then return to Antalya and transfer back to your hotel.
Day 6
Day Tour for Pamukkale and Hierapolis and Flight back to Istanbul (B,L)
8:30 AM and begin the 3-hour journey. Then, you will be taken to the ancient city of Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide will show you how the citizens lived, worked and enjoyed themselves back when the city was a thriving metropolis. Highlights include the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Theater and the Martyrion of St. Philip. From there, you will move on to the main attraction, the travertines. You will have free time to explore and relax in the travertines and have a rejuvenating swim in Cleopatra’s Pool. By the end of the tour transfer to Pamukkale airport for one hour flight back to Istanbul at 19:00 by TURKISH AIRLINES, Upon arrival to Istanbul we will meet you at the airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Istanbul
Day 7
Transfer to airport (B)
You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport according to your international flight time. If your flight is in the late afternoon or evening, you can book a half day or full day tour as well.
