Our Turkey tours with a gulet cruise combine guided sightseeing on land with 4 days and 3 nights on a traditional gulet along the Lycian coast, from Fethiye past Kaş and Kekova to Demre. Domestic flights or bus transfers, hotels, guided day tours and the cruise are booked as one package, so you move from one region to the next without arranging each leg yourself.

There are three packages, of 7, 9 and 11 days. They share the same cruise and differ in what they add before and after it.

The 4-day gulet cruise in every package

 • First day at sea: departure from Fethiye harbour late in the morning to Samanlık Bay for a swim and lunch, or to Butterfly Valley depending on sea conditions; then Ölüdeniz, where paragliding is optional, and St Nicholas Island with its Byzantine ruins.
 • Second day: breakfast in Fırnaz Bay or a nearby bay, lunch in Kaş harbour with time to see the town, once ancient Antiphellos, and a swim in a bay near Kekova.
 • Third day: the Sunken City of Kekova, a protected site seen from the boat (swimming is not allowed), Simena village with its castle, and Gökkaya Bay, where water sports are optional.
 • Last day: Pirates Cave if the sea allows, then Andriace harbour and a bus to Myra and the St Nicholas Church in Demre, where the cruise ends.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on board as listed. Snorkels, masks, fishing lines and board games are on the boat, and you may bring your own snacks.

7 days: Istanbul and the blue cruise

The shortest package starts with 2 or 3 days in Istanbul, depending on the gulet’s departure date. You stay in a boutique hotel in Sultanahmet, and a full-day guided walking tour visits Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, Topkapı Palace and the Grand Bazaar. A free day lets you rest or add another tour from Istanbul.

You then fly from Istanbul to Dalaman and are transferred to the gulet in Fethiye. After the cruise, a transfer takes you to Antalya Airport for the flight back to Istanbul, where you are met and taken to your hotel.

9 days: Ephesus, Pamukkale, the cruise, Antalya and Cappadocia

 • Day 1: early flight from Istanbul to Izmir and a full-day guided tour of Ephesus, including the Temple of Artemis, the amphitheatre, the Celsus Library and the House of the Virgin Mary. Overnight in Kuşadası.
 • Day 2: Hierapolis and the Pamukkale travertines, with free time on the terraces and the chance to swim in Cleopatra’s Pool, then a 4-hour bus ride to Fethiye.
 • Days 3–6: the gulet cruise, followed by a transfer to a hotel in Kaleiçi, Antalya’s old town.
 • Day 7: a full-day tour from Antalya to Perge, Aspendos and Kurşunlu Waterfall.
 • Days 8–9: flight to Kayseri, then the Southern and Northern Cappadocia tours, with an optional sunrise balloon flight on the last morning and an evening flight back to Istanbul.

11 days: from Gallipoli to Cappadocia

 • Day 1: pickup in Istanbul at 06:30 and the drive to the Gallipoli peninsula for a guided tour of the battlefields and memorials. Overnight in Çanakkale.
 • Days 2–4: Troy and Pergamon, a full day at Ephesus, then Pamukkale and Hierapolis followed by the bus to Fethiye.
 • Days 5–8: the gulet cruise, then a 3-hour bus journey to Antalya and a hotel in Kaleiçi.
 • Day 9: Perge, Aspendos and a waterfall near Antalya, then a flight to Cappadocia and a cave boutique hotel in Göreme.
 • Days 10–11: an optional balloon flight, the Southern and Northern Cappadocia tours, and the flight back to Istanbul.

What the packages include

 • Domestic flights with taxes, and the bus journeys listed in the itinerary
 • Airport and hotel transfers as listed
 • Hotels with breakfast and the 3-night gulet cruise with meals on board
 • Guided day tours with lunch, transport and entrance fees
 • Vegetarian meals on request and travel insurance

Drinks and tips are not included in any package, and dinners on land are only included where the itinerary marks them. International flights are not part of the 11-day package. Hot air balloon flights in Cappadocia and paragliding at Ölüdeniz are optional. Groups are up to 15 people, and the tours are guided in English and Spanish.

Which package to choose

Choose the 7-day package if you want Istanbul and the sea in one short trip. The 9-day package skips Istanbul sightseeing and instead adds Ephesus, Pamukkale, Antalya’s ancient sites and Cappadocia around the cruise. The 11-day package covers the most ground, from Gallipoli, Troy and Pergamon at the start to Cappadocia at the end.
