A private gulet charter gives your group a whole traditional wooden boat, with its captain and crew, for a week on Turkey’s southwest coast. Nobody else is on board, the route is planned around you, and you choose the starting port, the level of boat and how you want to eat.

It suits families, groups of friends and anyone who would rather not share the deck with other travellers. This page explains what the weekly rate covers, how the boats differ and how to ask us for options.

What the weekly charter rate covers

On the gulets we work with, the weekly rate includes:

 • exclusive use of the boat for the charter week (8 days, 7 nights)
 • the services of the captain and crew
 • fuel for cruising
 • Turkish port fees
 • bed linen and bath towels, plus beach towels on some boats
 • our help choosing the boat and planning the route

Not included are meals (unless you add a menu package), drinks, fuel for water sports and personal travel insurance. Travel to and from the starting port is not part of the boat’s weekly rate either; ask us if you would like help arranging it.

Choosing a boat: from Classic to Luxury Plus

Gulets come in four levels. Classic boats are the economical choice and have no air conditioning. Classic Plus adds air conditioning and extra facilities. Luxury gulets have larger cabins and more facilities, and Luxury Plus boats offer superior cabins and the widest range of facilities.

Cabins have their own bathrooms. Size and capacity depend on the boat: the gulets on our current list measure from 24 to 43 metres and have 6 to 9 cabins for 12 to 18 guests. Tell us how many you are and the level you have in mind, and we will send you the boats that are free on your dates.

Starting ports and suggested weekly routes

Depending on where the boat is based, a charter can begin from Antalya, Kemer, Olympos, Finike, Demre, Kaş, Kalkan, Fethiye, Göcek, Marmaris or Bodrum. You can follow a suggested weekly route, adapt it, or ask us for a tailor-made plan with the captain of the boat you choose:

 • Fethiye–Kekova–Fethiye: Butterfly Valley, St Nicholas Island, Kaş, Üçağız village, Simena Castle, Gökkaya Bay, the Sunken City, Aquarium Bay, Firnaz Bay, Samanlık Bay and Tarzan Bay.
 • Fethiye–Göcek–Fethiye: Kızıl Island, Ağa Limanı, Merdivenli Bay, Cleopatra’s Bath, Bedri Rahmi Bay, Yassıca Island, Tersane Island and Samanlık Bay.
 • Göcek–Kekova–Göcek and a longer Fethiye–Göcek–Kekova–Fethiye loop combine both areas.
 • Bodrum–Gökova–Bodrum: Çökertme Bay, the Seven Islands, Longoz Bay, English Harbour, Karacasöğüt village, Cleopatra’s Bath (Hamam Bay), Sedir Island and Kisebükü.
 • Bodrum–Hisarönü–Bodrum: Palamutbükü, Aktur Bay, Bencik Bay, Orhaniye, Selimiye, Hisarönü, Bozburun, Dirsekbükü, Kiseli Island, Knidos, Karaada, Poyraz Bay and Meteor Bay.

Changes once you are on board are agreed with the captain.

Food and drink on board

Meals are a separate choice. You can shop and cook for yourselves, or add one of four menu packages priced per person per day or per week: Classic, Premium, Luxury or High-Luxury. The Premium, Luxury and High-Luxury menus are offered on selected boats of the matching class and each has a minimum total per week. On these three menus, children aged 0–5 eat free and children aged 6–10 pay half.

Menus can change with the season, the ports and the galley on board. Dietary needs, allergies and religious preferences can be planned before the cruise, and you can order drinks from a beverage list in advance so that they are stocked before you board.

How pricing and booking work

Charter rates are set per boat for a week and change with the boat and the month; there is no per-person price for the boat itself. To receive options, send us:

 • your dates
 • the number of guests
 • your preferred starting port
 • the boat level you have in mind
 • whether you would like a menu package

We then send you the boats available for your week, with their weekly rates and the routes that fit your starting port.

Private charter or shared cabin cruise?

If you are a couple or a small party, a scheduled cabin cruise may suit you better: you book a cabin on a fixed departure and share the gulet with other guests, with meals included. A private charter makes sense when your group can fill a boat, or when you want to set your own route, pace and menu.
