Pamukkale Tour from Antalya with Hierapolis

About this tour

This Pamukkale tour from Antalya is a day trip for travellers who want to see Pamukkale, the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the “Cotton Castle”, without staying overnight. You are picked up at your hotel, travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with a professional guide, and return to Antalya the same evening.

On the way there is a break about halfway and a visit to a local onyx workshop, where you can see handcrafted pieces made from this traditional stone. Lunch is served at a restaurant near Pamukkale, with a vegetarian option available.

At Pamukkale you walk on the white travertine terraces filled with thermal spring water. Your guide then leads you through the ancient city of Hierapolis, including the Roman theatre, the Basilica of St. Philip and the necropolis. Afterwards there is free time: relax and look around, or visit the Cleopatra Pool, whose thermal water is said to have healing properties. Entrance to the pool is not included and is paid on site.

In the late afternoon the group leaves Pamukkale for the drive back to Antalya, where you are dropped at your hotel. Entrance fees for Pamukkale and Hierapolis are included in the tour.
