This Olympos blue cruise is an eight-day round trip for travellers based on the Olympos side of the coast who want a long, relaxed week at sea and to end where they started. You are collected in Olympos on a Tuesday morning, board a premium gulet at Çayağzı harbour near Demre, sail west to Fethiye and then back east, and leave the boat at Demre on Day 8 with a bus to Olympos or Demre bus station.
The first half follows the classic route from Kekova to Fethiye: the Sunken City and Simena Castle, time in Kaş, a night near Kalkan, Butterfly Valley, the Blue Lagoon at Ölüdeniz and a sunset on St Nicholas Island. On Day 4 you reach Fethiye around midday and have the afternoon and evening free in town, where some guests leave and new ones join. The return leg revisits Butterfly Valley, Ölüdeniz, Kaş and Kekova with different bays and overnight stops.
Meals listed in the programme are cooked on board, cabins have a private bathroom and air conditioning, and the group of 12 to 20 guests is a mixed-age group. Paragliding at Ölüdeniz and diving in Kaş are offered on both legs as optional extras.

At around 10:30 the ground team collects you in Olympos in front of Bayram's Tree Houses and drives you to Çayağzı harbour near Demre. You board, get a short briefing and settle in. The gulet then passes slowly over the Sunken City of Kekova, a Lycian settlement more than 2,000 years old that was submerged after earthquakes; walls and foundations are visible under the water. It is a protected site, so swimming, diving and snorkelling are not allowed there. Next you stop at Simena and can walk up to the castle for views over the bay. The night is spent in Gökkaya Bay, a sheltered anchorage between pine-covered hills. Meals: lunch, dinner.
The gulet sails to Kaş, where you have time for the shops selling handmade jewellery and clothes and for a coffee in a local café. Divers who have pre-booked are taken to a dive boat; some sites around Kaş include a cave or a wreck. Afterwards you cruise towards Kalkan, a harbour town of white houses on the hillside, and anchor for the night in Aquarium Bay. Meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with fruit, dinner.
You wake up in Butterfly Valley and can swim or hike to the waterfall; more than 136 kinds of butterflies and moths live here, though they are hard to spot in summer. The next stop is Ölüdeniz and the Blue Lagoon for swimming in calm, clear water. Paragliding from Babadağ (2,000 m) over Ölüdeniz is optional and needs pre-booking. In the evening you anchor at St Nicholas Island (Gemiler Island) and can walk through the Byzantine ruins to the summit amphitheatre for sunset. Meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with fruit.
After a slow start and a morning swim at St Nicholas Island, the boat stops in a nearby bay for lunch and a swim, then reaches Fethiye harbour between 12:30 and 13:30, where some guests finish their trip. The afternoon and evening are free: see the rock tombs, walk the town and harbour with its shops, cafés, bars and clubs, or ask the local team for tips. Dinner tonight and breakfast the next morning are not included. Meals: breakfast, lunch.
Have breakfast at a café on Fethiye harbour and enjoy free time until departure. Between 11:00 and 11:45 the gulet leaves Fethiye with new guests for the leg back towards Olympos. You return to Butterfly Valley for a swim and lunch, with another chance to walk to the waterfall, and then to Ölüdeniz and the Blue Lagoon, where paragliding can be arranged in advance, through the local team or by telling the captain as you leave Fethiye. The night is again spent at St Nicholas Island. Meals: lunch, afternoon tea with fruit, dinner.
The gulet heads east, stopping at bays along the way for breakfast and swimming before a second visit to Kaş for shopping or coffee by the harbour. Diving can be booked before the cruise or arranged with the captain at short notice. The night is spent in a quiet bay between Kaş and Kekova. Meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with fruit, dinner.
After breakfast you pass the Sunken City of Kekova once more and anchor at Kekova to visit Simena Castle, or simply sit in a café by the sea with homemade ice cream. The last night on board is spent in Gökkaya Bay, surrounded by cliffs and wooded hills. Meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with fruit, dinner.
Time for a morning swim and breakfast on deck before returning to Çayağzı harbour, arriving between 10:30 and 11:00. After saying goodbye to the crew, a bus takes you to Olympos or to Demre bus station; tell the driver if you want to be dropped at the bus station. Buses to Antalya and Kaş leave every 30 minutes and to Fethiye every hour, with no need to book tickets ahead. Lunch is not included today. Meals: breakfast.
Premium-class traditional Turkish gulet with air conditioning, shared by a mixed-age group of 12 to 20 guests. Cabins are double, twin, triple or shared, each with its own bathroom; the cabin air conditioning runs about 6 hours a day. The deck has plenty of space for sunbathing. Solo guests can share a cabin or pay extra for a private one.
