This Fethiye to Demre blue cruise suits couples, friends and solo travellers who have only a few days but still want to see the Lycian coast from the water. You board a shared gulet in Fethiye on Saturday morning and spend three days and two nights sailing east, leaving the boat at Demre harbour on the afternoon of Day 3.
The first day takes you to Butterfly Valley for a swim and an optional walk to the waterfall, past the lagoon at Ölüdeniz, where you can go paragliding, and on to St Nicholas Island for a walk through its ruins at sunset. Day 2 begins with a swim in Aquarium Bay near Kalkan, followed by free time in Kaş with its cafés, jewellery shops and ancient theatre. On the last day the gulet glides slowly past the Sunken City of Kekova and stops so you can walk up to Simena Castle.
Life on board is easy-going. Couples and guests sharing as a twin get their own cabin, while solo travellers share a cabin with other guests or pay extra for a private one. Every cabin has its own bathroom, storage for your bags and air conditioning for about six hours a day, and the deck has lounge areas for doing nothing at all. Meals are cooked on board, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and fruit served as set out in the programme.
This route is a shorter version of the four-day Fethiye to Olympos cruise. It is sailed with a mixed-age group of 12 to 20 guests on a premium-class gulet.

Be at Fethiye harbour at 10:00 for check-in, then board the gulet for a short briefing. The first stop is Butterfly Valley, where you swim, have lunch and can walk up to the waterfall; more than 136 kinds of moths and butterflies live in the valley, though they are hard to spot on hot days. The boat then continues to Ölüdeniz and the Blue Lagoon, where you can take an optional tandem paraglide from Babadağ Mountain at about 2,000 metres. In the evening the gulet anchors at St Nicholas Island, giving you time to walk up through the ruins and watch the sunset. Meals: lunch, afternoon tea, fruit and dinner.
Wake up in Aquarium Bay near Kalkan for a morning swim and breakfast. The gulet then sails to Kaş, a small harbour town with cafés, beer gardens, restaurants, shops selling distinctive jewellery and an ancient theatre, and you have plenty of time ashore. Kaş is also the place for an optional scuba dive: beginners without a licence can do an introductory dive, while certified divers can explore caves or a wreck. The night is spent in a secluded bay between Kaş and Kekova. Meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, fruit and dinner.
After breakfast the gulet cruises slowly alongside the Sunken City, a Lycian town about 2,000 years old that was destroyed by an earthquake in the 2nd century. It is a protected site, so swimming, diving and snorkelling are not allowed there. Next the boat anchors near Kekova so you can visit Simena and walk up to the castle for a view over the bay. In the afternoon you reach Demre harbour, where the cruise ends, and a car transfer takes you to Demre bus station, which has regular buses to Olympos, Antalya and Fethiye. Meals: breakfast and lunch.
Premium-class traditional gulet with air conditioning, shared by a mixed-age group of 12 to 20 guests. Cabins are double, twin, triple or shared, each with a private bathroom and storage space; air conditioning runs about 6 hours a day. Couples and twin-share guests get a private cabin; solo guests share a cabin or pay extra for a private one. Lounge areas on deck.
