This 8 day Jordan adventure tour is made for travellers who want to be outdoors in Jordan rather than watch it through a coach window. Starting and ending at Amman airport, it takes you from the river canyons of the Mujib Reserve to an ecolodge night in Feynan, the walking trails of the Dana Biosphere Reserve, a full day inside Petra, a night under the stars in Wadi Rum and a day on the Red Sea coast.
What sets this route apart is its night at the Feynan Ecolodge, deep in the Dana Biosphere Reserve, and the way the days build: canyon country first, then the highland trails, then the ancient city and the desert. In Wadi Rum and Aqaba you have time for extras of your choice, from a camel ride or hot-air balloon flight to snorkelling over coral.
You spend two nights in Petra, so the rose-red city gets a whole unhurried day. Breakfast and dinner are included every day of the trip as shown in the itinerary, and the tour closes back in Amman before your flight home.

Our representative welcomes you at Amman airport. Your first afternoon covers the Citadel, the Roman Theatre and the old city of Amman, followed by some free time downtown. Afterwards you head to As-Salt, a historic hill town built of honey-coloured stone on the old road between Amman and Jerusalem. Back in Amman for dinner and your first night.
Descend to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, and continue to the Mujib Biosphere Reserve, the world's lowest nature reserve. Its river canyons, with pools, rock scrambles and waterfalls, are among Jordan's most thrilling hiking spots; the water trail hike is available as an optional extra. In the evening you reach the Feynan Ecolodge inside the Dana Biosphere Reserve for dinner and the night.
After breakfast at Feynan, explore the trails of the Dana Biosphere Reserve and Feynan. Routes range from easy walks to tougher hikes and pass terraced gardens and artisan workshops in an area known for some of Jordan's best bird-watching. Guided trails can be booked as an optional extra. Drive on to Petra for dinner and overnight.
A whole day for the Nabataean city carved from rose-red rock, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. A short horse ride brings you towards the entrance, then you walk the Siq to the Treasury and carry on past the Street of Facades, the Theatre and the Royal Tombs. Early morning and late afternoon give the best light for photographs. Dinner and a second night in Petra.
Head south to Wadi Rum, the 'Valley of the Moon'. A 2-hour 4x4 jeep tour takes you among red dunes, granite peaks and ancient rock inscriptions. The evening brings a Bedouin dinner with folklore entertainment and a night at the desert camp.
After breakfast at camp, the day is set aside for optional activities in Wadi Rum: trekking, hiking, a camel ride, another jeep safari, or seeing the desert from above by hot-air balloon or microlight. Later you continue to Aqaba on the Red Sea for dinner and overnight.
Visit Aqaba and pick from optional activities such as swimming, snorkelling, diving among the coral reefs, a glass-bottom boat trip, or a scenic flight from King Hussein Airport with a qualified instructor. In the afternoon you drive north to Amman for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel, then your transfer to Amman airport for your flight.
