This Jordan biblical tour is for pilgrims and travellers who want to visit the biblical sites east of the Jordan River in one week. It starts at Amman airport and runs for seven days and six nights, with five nights in Amman, one night in Petra and breakfast and dinner marked on each day.
In the north you see Jerash, the Church of Our Lady of the Mountain at Anjara and Umm Qais, ancient Gadara, with views over the Sea of Galilee. The next day is given to the Baptism Site at Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the Hill of Elijah and the Dead Sea, followed by Madaba’s mosaic map and Mount Nebo on the way to Petra.
After a full day in Petra you return to Amman. The final touring day combines an Amman city tour with Mukawir, where John the Baptist was imprisoned, and the UNESCO-listed mosaics of Umm ar-Rasas.

Visit Jerash, ancient Gerasa, with Hadrian's Arch, the Oval Plaza, the colonnaded street and the Temple of Artemis. At Anjara, the Church of Our Lady of the Mountain is built at a cave where, by tradition, Jesus, his disciples and the Virgin Mary rested on their journeys; it is one of Jordan's official Christian pilgrimage sites. Continue to Umm Qais, ancient Gadara, a city of the Decapolis linked to the Gospel account of the healing of the demoniacs, with views over the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights. Visit the Baptism Site, Bethany Beyond the Jordan, where John the Baptist lived and baptised Jesus (John 1:28). It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important places of Christian pilgrimage in Jordan. Nearby, visit the Hill of Elijah (Tell Mar Elias), traditionally linked to the prophet Elijah's ascent to heaven. Continue to the Dead Sea. At the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth at more than 400 metres below sea level, the salty water lets you float with ease, and the mineral-rich mud is famous for its benefits. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
In Madaba, the "City of Mosaics", see the 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Church of St. George. Then climb Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land, and look out over the Jordan Valley towards Jericho and Jerusalem. Continue south to Petra for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast, dinner.

Early morning and late afternoon give the best light. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
