This Jordan adventure tour is for travellers who like being outdoors and want to choose their own activities along the way. Over seven days and six nights from Amman airport, it covers Amman, As-Salt, the Dead Sea, the Mujib Biosphere Reserve, Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba.
The trip opens with Amman’s old city, the Roman Theatre and the Citadel, and the honey-coloured hill town of As-Salt. Next you drive down to the Dead Sea and the Mujib Biosphere Reserve, the lowest nature reserve in the world, known for river canyons with pools, rock climbs and waterfalls, before a full day in Petra.
Two nights at a Wadi Rum desert camp give you a 2-hour jeep tour, a Bedouin dinner with folklore and a whole day for optional activities, from a camel ride to a hot-air balloon or microlight flight. The last full day is in Aqaba, with optional snorkelling, diving or a glass-bottom boat trip, before you return to Amman. Optional activities are booked on request and priced separately.

Our representative meets you at Amman airport. Tour Amman's old city, the Roman Theatre and the Citadel, with free time downtown, then drive to As-Salt, an old hill town built of honey-coloured stone on the historic road from Amman to Jerusalem. Spend a full day in Petra, the rose-red city of the Nabataeans and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After a short ride on horseback you continue on foot through the Siq to the Treasury, then past the Street of Facades and the Theatre to the Royal Tombs. Early morning and late afternoon give the best light. In the evening, continue to a desert camp in Wadi Rum for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Explore Wadi Rum, the "Valley of the Moon", on a 2-hour 4x4 jeep tour among red dunes, granite mountains and ancient rock inscriptions. In the evening, a Bedouin dinner with folklore is followed by your second night at the desert camp. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
After breakfast at the camp, the day is set aside for optional activities in Wadi Rum: trekking, hiking, a camel ride, another jeep safari, or a view of the desert from the air by hot-air balloon or microlight. Continue to Aqaba on the Red Sea for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Visit Aqaba, then choose from optional activities such as swimming, snorkelling, diving among the coral reefs, a glass-bottom boat trip, or a scenic flight with a qualified instructor from King Hussein Airport. Drive north to Amman for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
After breakfast, transfer to Amman airport for your departure. Meals: breakfast.
