This Jordan tour from Amman is for travellers who prefer to stay in one city and see the country on day trips. It starts at Amman airport, lasts five days and four nights, and keeps all four nights in Amman, with breakfast and dinner marked on each day.
Day 2 takes you to Madaba’s mosaic map, the view from Mount Nebo and the Dead Sea. Day 3 heads north to Roman Jerash and Ajloun Castle and finishes with the Amman Citadel, the Roman Theatre and the old downtown markets.
Day 4 is a full day in Petra, from a short horseback ride and the Siq to the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the Theatre and the Royal Tombs, before returning to Amman. Our representative meets you at the airport on arrival and helps you with the departure formalities on Day 5.

In Madaba, the "City of Mosaics", see the 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Church of St. George. Then climb Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land, and look out over the Jordan Valley towards Jericho and Jerusalem. Continue to the Dead Sea for time to float in the water, then return to Amman for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Head north to Jerash, ancient Gerasa and one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East, to see Hadrian's Arch, the Oval Plaza, the colonnaded street and the Temple of Artemis. Next is Ajloun Castle, built in 1184 by a commander of Salah ad-Din to keep watch over the Jordan Valley. Back in Amman, tour the Citadel with the Temple of Hercules and the Umayyad Palace, then the Roman Theatre and the old downtown markets. Dinner and overnight in Amman. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Spend a full day in Petra, the rose-red city of the Nabataeans and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After a short ride on horseback you continue on foot through the Siq to the Treasury, then past the Street of Facades and the Theatre to the Royal Tombs. Early morning and late afternoon give the best light. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
