Kupkiran Ski Center, situated a mere 2 kilometers from the city center, garners widespread appeal among ski enthusiasts hailing from Ağrı and its neighboring districts, as well as from surrounding provinces. Notably, this year’s opening was delayed by 40 days due to unseasonably late snowfall.
Despite this setback, the ski center underwent significant enhancements, including the expansion of tracks both in number and length. Visitors were treated to exhilarating experiences of sledding and snowboarding amidst the picturesque surroundings.
Birol Yaşar, seizing the opportunity of the holiday, chose to spend quality time with his family by indulging in skating activities at Küpkıran Ski Center – one of the popular ski centers in Turkey. Expressing his satisfaction, he remarked,
“We’ve been skating here for three days straight. It’s been a delightful experience. Skating is a sport one can pick up in just 2-3 days, and we’ve been having a blast. Despite the delayed start to the season due to late snowfall, the track here in Ağrı is perfect for beginners like us. It may be short, but it’s incredibly conducive to learning.”

“My daughter and I decided to visit the ski resort for the weekend, and we’re thoroughly enjoying ourselves.”
