Eastern Kars’ Sarikamis Ski Center is a well-known winter tourist attraction, drawing visitors from all over the world with its gorgeous scenery, perfect snow, and contemporary facilities.
This is a well-regarded ski resort with nine tracks total, the longest of which is 3,500 meters (about 11,500 feet) long and winds through picturesque pine forests. In addition to offering skiing and snowboarding, the facility offers sledding adventures for non-skiers, making sure that everyone has fun in the snow.
A lot of people visit the ski and sled tracks, which are especially busy on weekends. Hotels in the vicinity claim 60% occupancy as the semester break draws near. General manager of the hotel Alper Aydoğdu emphasized the special attractiveness of Sarikamis Ski Center, highlighting the snow’s distinct quality in the midst of the Scots pine trees.
“Our guests are enthralled with the charm of skiing under the pine forests. This is not like any other ski resort in terms of atmosphere. Significant momentum has been building for the ski center. Additionally, it provides easy access within Turkey. After taking a plane, guests from Istanbul can go skiing in three hours. We fly from Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir on a regular basis. The majority of our guests are Turkish, with the largest number of people from Iran. We also have visitors from other European nations, including Russia. In addition to skiing, this area is known for the beloved pastime of horse-drawn sleigh rides. We also provide professional instructor-guided safari skiing trips, given the pine forests.”
Handan Düzgün, an Istanbul resident vacationing at the ski resort with her friends and kids, voiced their appreciation for the setting. She said:
“We have a great affection for this location. The snow is very good, almost like that of Switzerland. In search of a tranquil getaway before the semester break, Sarıkamış’s pure white snow makes it a unique destination. It’s our favorite place to go skiing.”
