Next, explore Ajloun Castle, a 12th-century Muslim fortress built by the Ayyubids on a strategic ridge overlooking three rivers. Then visit Umm Qais, a town near the ancient city of Gadara with stunning views of the Sea of Tiberias, Golan Heights, and Yarmouk River gorge. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight.
Day 7
Madaba – Mount Nebo – Kerak – Petra Hotel (B, L, D)
After breakfast, begin our journey by exploring Madaba, an ancient city once inhabited by the Moabites and mentioned in the Bible (Numbers 21:30, Joshua 13:9). During Roman and Byzantine rule from the 2nd to 7th centuries, Madaba became part of the Provincia Arabia, established by Emperor Trajan after the Nabataean Kingdom of Petra. Next, visit Mount Nebo, a prominent hill in Jordan standing approximately 817 meters (2,680 ft) above sea level. According to the Hebrew Bible, this is where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. From the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the Holy Land, including the Jordan Valley, the West Bank city of Jericho, and, on clear mornings, Jerusalem. Continue to Kerak Castle, located 140 kilometers (87 miles) south of Amman along the historic King’s Highway. Perched on a ridge at around 1,000 meters elevation, Kerak has been inhabited since the Iron Age and was a key Moabite city, known in the Bible as Qer Harreseth or Kir of Moab. Conclude the day with a drive to Petra for dinner and overnight stay at the Petra Hotel.
Day 8
Petra – Amman Hotel (B, L, D)
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day tour of Petra, Jordan’s most iconic archaeological site. Nestled in the mountains south of the Dead Sea, Petra—meaning “stone” in Greek—is one of the world’s most breathtaking ancient cities and a must-visit destination in Jordan and the Middle East. Once the capital of the Nabateans, an Arab tribe that ruled the region before Roman times, Petra is famous for its stunning rock-cut temples, tombs, and intricate structures carved directly into vibrant sandstone cliffs. Victorian traveler Dean Burgon famously described Petra as "a rose-red city half as old as time," a phrase that still captures its timeless beauty. For the best experience, explore this UNESCO World Heritage site early in the morning or at sunset when the sandstone glows with radiant hues. After the visit, return to your hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9
Dead Sea – Amman City Tour – Airport and Flight to Istanbul (B, L)
After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour starting with a visit to the Dead Sea, also known as the Salt Sea. This unique salt lake lies between Jordan to the east and Israel and the West Bank to the west. Sitting at 429 meters (1,407 ft) below sea level, it is the lowest point on Earth’s surface. With a depth of 304 meters (997 ft), the Dead Sea is the world’s deepest hypersaline lake, boasting a salinity of 34.2%—nearly 10 times saltier than the ocean—making it one of the saltiest bodies of water globally. Next, explore Amman, Jordan’s vibrant capital and largest city. Known as the political, economic, and cultural hub of the country, Amman is located in north-central Jordan and is renowned for its liberal and modern atmosphere. It attracts many Arab and European tourists as a top travel destination in the region. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your two-hour flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at Istanbul Airport and transferred to your hotel near the Blue Mosque. Enjoy free time to relax, followed by an overnight stay in Istanbul.
Day 10
Spice Market, Bosphorus Cruise, Dolmabahce Palace, Taksim Square, Istiklal Street, Cicek Passage, Galata Tower (B)
Start your day at the vibrant Spice Market (Misir Carsisi), a lively indoor bazaar located in Eminonu Square, the meeting point of the Bosphorus and Golden Horn. Here, you’ll find an array of spices, traditional Turkish delight, teas, nuts, handcrafted ceramics, and unique souvenirs.
Next, enjoy a scenic Bosphorus Cruise on a public ferry, offering stunning views of Istanbul’s European and Asian shores. Highlights include the iconic Galata Tower, majestic Dolmabahce Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace, Rumeli Fortress, historic Ottoman mansions, the impressive Bosphorus Bridges, and beautiful mosques—making this cruise an unforgettable Istanbul experience.
Visit Dolmabahce Palace, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture and luxury. Located on the Bosphorus waterfront, it features exquisite chandeliers, rich carpets, dazzling jewels, handcrafted porcelain, and ornate fireplaces—all reflecting unparalleled grandeur.
Explore Taksim Square, the symbol of modern Turkey and the site of significant historical events. Adjacent to the bustling Istiklal Street (Istiklal Caddesi) and near Galata Tower, Taksim is surrounded by international embassies.
