Saklkent Ski Center, which is 37 kilometres from ANTALYA’s city centre, had its first snowfall of the year one month later than expected. At the summit, the snow was more than one metre thick.
On the slopes of the Bey Mountains near Antalya, at an elevation of 2,500 feet, the Saklkent Ski Center received its first snowfall of the season 1 month later than in years past.
With the storm and rain that have been affecting the city since the start of the week, snow landed on the peak. At the summit, there was more snow than one metre deep.
Operator of the Saklikent Ski Center Cuma Zaydn said on his social media, “White has emerged on the top. Time to go skiing,” he declared as he began the season.

Zaydn stated that they anticipated that the snow will be 1.5 metres thick:
Stating that they predicted that the snow thickness would reach 1.5 meters, Özaydın said, “The snowfall we expected in the first week of December came in January. We open the season a few weeks late. The people of Antalya will enjoy winter sports at the summit this winter. The snow in Saklıkent has exceeded 1 meter. Due to rainfall, we are not able to compress the tracks. As soon as the rain stops, construction machines will compress the slopes and make them suitable for skiing and snowboarding.”
